Legal Counsel – Commercial Finance Glasgow (Hybrid Working Available) We are working with a leading international financial services organisation to appoint a talented Legal Counsel to join their Commercial Finance team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor to play a key role in supporting a dynamic, fast-paced business, providing high-quality legal advice across a broad range of financing and corporate matters. The Role As Legal Counsel, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Commercial Finance business, delivering proactive and commercially focused legal support. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel, ensuring legal risks are effectively managed while enabling business growth. Key responsibilities will include: • Providing timely legal advice on factoring and commercial finance matters, • Building strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand and support strategic objectives, • Managing and updating master legal documentation templates, • Supporting corporate, procurement, and transactional legal matters, • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal agreements, • Leading documentation processes for in-house transactions, • Managing external legal counsel and overseeing their delivery, • Conducting legal due diligence and monitoring associated costs, • Identifying and escalating legal risks and supporting control frameworks, • Collaborating with legal teams across the UK and internationally, • Keeping up to date with market developments and relevant legal changes About You You’ll be a commercially minded legal professional with a strong foundation in finance law and the confidence to operate in a business-facing role.
