What You’ll Be Doing The Relationship Manager (Guidance & Education Systems) will report directly to Strategic Partnerships Lead and will be responsible for:\n\n • Manage a defined portfolio of Guidance and Education System partner relationships, developing proportionate partnership and engagement plans that deepen participation, increase uptake of learning opportunities and deliver shared outcomes.\n, • Build trusted relationships with partner contacts and wider stakeholders, understanding their operating context, priorities and constraints so that engagement is tailored, relevant and value-adding.\n, • Maintain strong understanding of relevant partner sectors, such as housing, welfare or health, alongside awareness of relevant policy levers, commissioning, practice and delivery developments, so that engagement is responsive to partner priorities, emerging opportunities and barriers.\n, • Provide ongoing, in-depth partner support and guidance, helping organisations identify opportunities to strengthen services, improve delivery and embed good money guidance into existing services.\n, • Work with the Senior Relationship Manager to support portfolio planning, segmentation and prioritisation, ensuring engagement is focused where it can deliver the greatest reach, quality improvement and impact.\n, • Ensure partners are aware of and engaged with relevant learning opportunities, positioning offers to sector needs and partner maturity and proactively driving uptake.\n, • Represent MaPS and the Guidance and Education System at partner meetings and relevant events, identifying opportunities to extend reach through new partnerships and increased engagement.\n, • Capture, synthesise and report partner insight and feedback, including barriers, emerging needs, good practice and opportunities for improvement, to inform programme development, sector propositions and continuous improvement.\n, • Track portfolio activity and progress, using data, feedback and management information to inform priorities, monitor engagement and support evidence-based decision-making.\n, • Contribute to a joined-up approach to partner management by working closely with the Senior Relationship Manager, UK Partnerships team and internal colleagues to coordinate activity, manage risks and support effective partner journeys.\n, • Role-model MaPS values of caring, connecting and transforming in all partner interactions, building trusting relationships and collaborating across teams to deliver positive outcomes.\nWhat You’ll BringTo be successful in this role, you’ll need:Essential\n\n, • Strong partnership and relationship management capability, with experience of managing external relationships, developing engagement plans, influencing stakeholders and securing sustained commitment to shared outcomes.\n, • Experience managing a defined portfolio autonomously, prioritising activity, maintaining momentum, tracking progress and escalating risks or issues appropriately.\n, • Strong understanding of relevant partner sectors and organisation types, including public, private and/or third sector contexts, with awareness of relevant policy levers and the ability to tailor engagement and support to different partner models, incentives and constraints.\n, • Experience using insight, feedback and management information to inform priorities, monitor engagement, improve partner outcomes and support evidence-based decision-making.\n\n\n, • Excellent communication, facilitation and matrix-working skills, with confidence engaging external stakeholders, adapting messages for different sector audiences and working across internal teams to deliver specialist, value adding support.\nDesirable\n\n, • Experience within financial capability, financial wellbeing or money guidance, with an understanding of how partnership approaches can drive improved reach and impact.\n, • Experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder systems, such as public services, health, local & central government.\nOur Recruitment ProcessWe keep things simple, fair, and transparent:Stage 1: Please submit your CV alongside a supporting statement of no more than 500 words highlighting your reason for applying for the role.
