Location: Glasgow, Basingstoke (UK), Aarhus (Denmark), Hamburg (Germany) We are seeking a Consultant to join our safety services group based from any of our offices in the UK, Denmark, or Germany. What you will do As a Consultant, you will provide professional occupational health and safety advice and support while engaging with managers and teams to respond to health and safety–related enquiries. You will be responsible for implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and alignment with any regulatory changes. The role involves conducting audits, inspections, and investigations, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in health and safety performance, and promoting a positive health and safety culture across teams and throughout project life cycles. You will build and maintain collaborative relationships across site, project, client, and internal teams, and provide advice and support on the application of design safety regulations (such as UK CDM). In addition, you will support accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, and may lead or contribute to health and safety training, workshops, and coaching sessions as required. You will also support the preparation of presentations and proposals related to client engagements and actively participate in relevant health and safety meetings, including steering groups, to share knowledge and best practice. The role includes preparing timely and accurate health and safety performance reports, promoting compliance with health and safety management system goals and KPIs, and supporting the development, monitoring, and communication of health and safety policies, procedures, and systems. You will work in collaborative teams covering the pursuit of new business, leadership of project engagements, and development of our ways of working including the use of AI tools and processes. For more information, please visit https://coralpointgroup.com/impact/ What you’ll bring • Proven experience in a similar role within construction, engineering, or ideally in the renewables/offshore or marine industry, • Appropriate health and safety qualifications, with a minimum equivalent of a NEBOSH Certificate in Health & Safety, • Technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations, • Proven health and safety knowledge, supporting a project and team, with professional, timely and accurate advice, • Knowledge and practical application of design safety management (e.g. the UK CDM Regulations), • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to champion health and safety discussion, • Able to positively influence behaviour and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, • Experience of investigation, with a focus on preventive action and broader lessons learnt, • A proven strength of developing policies, procedures, and management systems, • Professional curiosity and diligence, particularly in relation to auditing and inspection, • Competent in preparing timely, accurate health and safety reports, • Able to assess and explain complex information, to a variety of audiences What to expect working with us No matter where you are in your career, CoralPoint can help take you to the next level.
