As a member of the General Accounting team, the Assistant Accountant role will focus on delivering high quality General Accounting services to Bunzl UK & Ireland operating companies and supporting the FSSC processes and systems implementation programme. Key Responsibilities • Support General Accounting tasks and activities to Bunzl operating companies in own scope, as instructed by the FSSC Senior Accountant, such as period end close activities, reconciliations, analysis, posting adjustment entries, supporting activities for audit queries, KPI reporting etc * Ensure accuracy and completeness of tasks and activities delivered * Provide support to other General Accounting team members as required * Support the transition of ERP systems, Finance/Accounting systems, management accounting processes and procedures to the Shared Service Centre * Ensure ongoing compliance to internal processes * Observe and actively promote the Bunzl Health, Safety and Environment ethos and help building a fun and supportive environment in the Bunzl Finance Shared Service Centre Skills & Experience Required • Computer literate, numerate, attention to detail, logical and methodical approach to work * Ability to follow documented and auditable processes * Knowledge of sage accounting system or similar * Written communication skills * Organisational skills * Interpersonal skills * Fun and positive attitude * Manage demanding workloads and work under pressure to meet deadlines * Enthusiasm for working with people and a flexible approach to work Want to recruit a similar role?
