Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description The warehouse worker receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. This role ensures that inventory is accurately counted, properly labeled, safely stored, and efficiently prepared for shipment, directly supporting the timely delivery of life-saving prescriptions across the United States. Responsibilities • Receive incoming stock items, verify quantities, and record data accurately either manually or using a computer system., • Count and reconcile stock items regularly, comparing physical counts to inventory records and investigating discrepancies or correcting errors as needed., • Pack and unpack items for stocking on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards, ensuring items are handled carefully and efficiently., • Store materials in an orderly, clearly labeled, and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other storage areas., • Mark and identify stock items using tags, stamps, electric marking tools, RF scanners, or other labeling equipment to maintain accurate tracking., • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to comply with safety regulations and support a safe, organized work environment., • Keep detailed records of stock usage, damage, and the condition of stock handling equipment to support accurate inventory management., • Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage, promptly reporting any issues to supervisors for resolution., • Provide assistance and guidance to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support team productivity and accuracy., • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock locations based on turnover, environmental factors, and facility capabilities., • Perform inventory, picking, order picking, material handling, and packing tasks using RF scanners and related equipment., • Work with a consistent sense of urgency and purpose to ensure prescriptions and orders are processed accurately and on time., • Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, and carrying materials as part of daily operations.Essential Skills, • Strong verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions, document inventory, and coordinate with team members., • Analytical and problem-solving ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently., • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player while maintaining a strong attention to detail., • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures related to warehouse operations and security for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions., • Experience with inventory, picking, order picking, material handling, packing, and RF scanner use., • High school diploma or GED required., • 5–7 years of warehouse or closely related experience required., • Ability and willingness to stand for at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation., • Ability and willingness to push, pull, grasp, and lift items with or without reasonable accommodation., • Ability and willingness to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation., • Willingness to work a flexible shift schedule as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and timeliness are critical to customer well-being., • Ability to use RF scanners and related warehouse technology for picking, packing, and inventory tasks., • Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly storage areas and accurate records., • Commitment to following safety regulations and security procedures consistently., • Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility for ensuring orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility is climate-controlled and clean, providing a comfortable and organized warehouse setting. Team members work in approximately four to five different departments that may involve manually opening items, filling containers, checking orders, and placing orders. The typical shift schedule for this role is Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with flexibility expected as needed. The environment is casual and laid back, and employees are allowed to wear jeans, khakis, dress pants, capri pants (no shorter than mid-calf), scrubs, t-shirts, polo shirts, sneakers, closed-toe shoes, leggings, sweatpants, spandex pants, jackets, hoodies, and sweaters without pockets. Sleeveless shirts, shorts, scarves, dangling jewelry, jackets, hoodies, or sweaters with pockets, clothing with inappropriate words or graphics, hats or head coverings, ripped clothing that shows skin, exposed midriffs, and pajama pants are not permitted. Employees may keep their phone in their pocket and may use one earbud to listen to music while working, but phones may not be taken out on the floor. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies, and candidates are encouraged to review an online video overview of the work environment prior to starting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mechanicsville, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
