As a US-based warranty provider, we provide expertise in safety and homecare to our customers. Our integrated solutions meet customer needs both inside and outside the home. Inside the home we protect critical aspects of home function such as plumbing, heating and cooling, appliances, power surges, hot water heater, and interior electrical. Outside the home we provide protection for critical lines (water, gas, wells, sewers, electric and septic). We primarily go to market B2B2C, partnering mostly with water/gas/electric utilities and municipalities to offer our product leveraging their brand for marketing and often adding our subscription fee to the water/gas/electric bill itself. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team and support our Claims/Field Operations function. In this role, you will act as a co-pilot to the business – translating operational data to financial impact and using that knowledge to help brainstorm, model solutions, and find opportunities for growth and efficiency. Located at our office in Naperville, our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Own and continuously optimize the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process for Claims/Field Operations, leveraging data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration (with Claims/Field Operations, Partnerships, FP&A, and other Commercial Finance team members) to improve accuracy, efficiency, and strategic decision making., • Maintain a constant pulse on key business performance metrics, proactively generating insights that answer the “why” behind trends and helping inform strategy, identify opportunities, and drive operational excellence., • Partner closely with Claims/Field operations to analyze and size claims-related initiative impacts, balancing the needs of our customers, service providers, and internal teams. Create and maintain initiative performance tracking that provides transparency into results and areas of further potential optimization., • Collaborate with Accounting and Claims/Field Operations to continuously improve our month-end-close process. Become an expert on the interconnectedness between our operational practices/trends, our forecast, and our accounting procedures to drive further alignment across these areas. Use that knowledge to tell a clear story of how operational drivers are manifesting on the P&L to both internal leaders and our board of directors., • Work with Business Intelligence and Claims Analytics to advance our data sets/structure, leading to a deeper understanding of customer and provider behavior that informs forecasting and strategy., • Lead, mentor, and manage one financial analyst, providing guidance on analysis, prioritization, and professional development to ensure high-quality deliverables that support business goals., • Implement standardized processes, cadence, and performance views across the finance organization to help streamline work and provide insight more quickly to the business. Experience and Qualifications of the Role: • Minimum of 6-10 years of progressive experience in a finance role with strategic and/or commercial finance or FP&A experience preferred. People manager experience preferred., • Have a bias for action and an ownership mindset., • Are comfortable building new processes, models, analyses from scratch, and enjoy improving ones that already exist., • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to succinctly interpret data for executives and frame business issues in a straightforward manner., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint), with expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities., • Excellent data, analytical, and problem-solving skills., • Outstanding interpersonal and communication/presentation skills, with the ability to partner well with other team members (across a wide variety of functional areas) and interface effectively with all levels of management., • Solid organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task in a complex and deadline-driven environment. Computer Skills Needed to Perform the Job: • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 (Excel, PowerPoint), with expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities., • Looker, Tableau, SQL experience a plus. Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance or related field (or equivalent experience). The base pay range for this position is $139,145 - $201,400 USD Annual. The specific pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, education and skill set. The compensation offered may also include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive plan or commission target.
