Job Summary The Facilities Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for the overall maintenance management, safety environment, and performance of the facility. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role owns the facilitys systems, infrastructure, execution of capital investment strategy, managing contractor major projects, and the broader operational framework that enables the team to execute. The Facilities Manager executes the expected standards for maintenance, manages the maintenance budget, leads the maintenance team, and partners with the Director of Operations to ensure facility systems meet requirements thatallow align facility performance with business goals. Duties and Responsibilities * • Own and manage the overall safety environment for the facility, facility grounds, and safety for the maintenance department., • Collaborate with National Leaders to provide strategic direction and overall maintenance management of the facility, grounds, and all physical infrastructure., • Manage and oversee all contractor projects, major construction projects, and capital expenditure (CapEx) initiatives., • Own and manage the full facility maintenance budget, including forecasting, variance reporting, and cost control., • Lead the hiring, development, evaluation, and performance management of the maintenance team., • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems., • Own and maintain all assets within MaintainX, including asset records, work history, and system integrity., • Partner with the National team on equipment procurement, installation, and facility improvement initiatives., • Ensure all work areas meet safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards., • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and improve facility efficiency., • Serve as the primary escalation point for facility breakdowns after hours, on weekends, and holidays., • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * • Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems., • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment., • Proven experience managing contractors, construction projects, and capital expenditures., • Strong verbal and written communication skills., • Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability., • Experience managing budgets and driving financial performance., • Bachelors degree preferred., • 710 years of facilities management experience, preferably in agriculture, biotech, cannabis, or regulated manufacturing., • Demonstrated experience managing contractors and major capital projects. This person may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals, and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree. Physical Requirements * • Sitting, standing, and walking motion/movement required throughout the shift., • Frequently ascends/descends a ladder and uses scissor lift to inspect/maintain equipment., • Occasionally works in outside conditions including exposure to inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
