About Planning, Design & Construction The Planning, Design & Construction team partners as a strategic owners representative across all operational and capital initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, managing risks and timelines, and maximizing overall value delivery. This division creates clearly defined workplans and builds teams with detailed performance metrics to execute projects with precision. These plans translate our clients business goals into well executed projects that exceed all levels of operational, regulatory, and financial standards. Project Manager The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple healthcare projects to successful outcomes. This effort extends across the life span of a project, including planning, design, construction and operationalizing of all types of healthcare capital projects. Core Responsibilities • Responsible for managing multiple new and renovation healthcare projects., • Ensure a high level of accountability on all projects., • When overseeing a team, provide support and guidance on all projects., • Understand contracts for all parties (consultants, general contractors, vendors, suppliers, etc.); communicate effectively to team members, ensure team members are communicating effectively with each other, resolve conflicts, develop trustworthy relationships with clients, solve problems, and be able to conceptually provide/analyze total project budgets and schedules (design, permitting, regulatory approvals, construction, equipment, furniture, etc.)., • Follow the project management process from the beginning. Every project must follow a standard and organized path from project initiation to project completion. Be able to identify opportunities to expedite the process without compromising the goal or final product., • Manage and oversee duties related to planning, design, and construction of new and existing facilities., • Manage and oversee projects progressing from concept development through construction, commissioning, and occupation., • Employ a diverse set of skills and assist in resolving project, client, and people management issues., • Manage and oversee the project definition, external team assembly, design resolution, documentation, budget and cost management, value engineering, scheduling, quality, change order management, move-in coordination, and other responsibilities., • Play an integral role in establishing collaborative and productive relationships with project teams, including architects, engineers, consultants, commissioning agents, contractors, and internal hospital partners. Deliverables • Develop and/or review Feasibility Study Proposals and Reports prior to final approval by the Director, • Ensure the project database and project TPCs are kept up to date (dates, costs, cashflows, etc.), • Harvest client relationships. While building new relationships, find key opportunities to become an integral piece to their team. Form trust and complete reliability., • Develop and/or review monthly Charters prior to final approval by the Director, • Develop internal and external Monthly Reports Essential Skills and Experience • Healthcare Project Management/Construction experience required, • 5+ years of experience in technical field related to health care planning, architecture, construction, hospital capital project management, or equivalent, • Bachelors degree in related field, • Experience managing all phases of a project (conceptual planning through close-out), • Demonstrated experience planning simultaneous, multiple capital projects of various sizes in a large, complex organizational setting, • Demonstrated experience working on high performing, service-focused teams, • Familiarity with FGI Guidelines, Joint Commission and state Health Department licensing requirements, OSHA, NFPA, ADA, State and National Building Codes, • Demonstrated ability to bring a best practice approach to processes and foster a responsive service orientation, • Solid technical knowledge of building systems, constructability, and infrastructure, • Excellent communication, team building, organization, and negotiation skills, • Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer service Reporting Structure Reports to: Client Executive Work Location Salt Lake City, Utah Travel Up to 25% Why Cref?
