Job DescriptionSalary: $45,000 Providence Cristo Rey seeks a motivated, organized, and student-centered professional to serve as Assistant Athletic Director. This individual will support the Athletic Director in managing daily operations of the athletic department while helping ensure a positive, mission-driven experience for all student-athletes. The Assistant Athletic Director will play a key role in event supervision, program coordination, compliance, and communication. Job Responsibilities: Athletic Program Support • Manage seasonal athlete registration and eligibility through FinalForms, • Help lead Parent/Athlete meetings at beginnings of each sport season, • Help plan and lead monthly all coaches training meetings, • Assist with daily administration of athletic programs, • Assist with supervision of coaching staff IHSAA Compliance 1. Stay up to date with the rule changes in IHSAA by-laws, 2. Communicate all IHSAA by-laws and changes to all coaches, 3. Ensure that all programs are compliant with school and IHSAA rules and regulations Student-Athlete Oversight • Assist with eligibility tracking and participation requirements, • Support student athlete development and accountability, • Help enforce athletic department policies and expectations with coaches, players, and parents Program Finances 1. Set up cash boxes and/or electronic payment software for home games for both admissions and concessions stands, 2. Maintain stock for concession stands and ensure products are purchased when needed and not out of date, 3. Maintain the soda machines a. Collect money from soda machines b. Stock soda machines with appropriate products c. Order inventory to keep soda machines stocked 4. Maintain uniforms and warm ups inventory Scheduling 1. Support scheduling of practices, contests, and facility usage using EventLink, 2. Coordinate and monitor after school athlete activities such as study tables, 3. Work with outside facilities to schedule games, 4. Create a volunteer schedule for concessions and admissions gate for home games, 5. Create a transportation schedule for all teams, 6. Schedule officials for Soccer, Baseball and Softball Game and Event Management • Serve as site administrator for home athletic events, • Help coordinate officials, transportation, and game operations, • Supervise student-athletes and ensure proper sportsmanship, • Ensure proper training and support of game day volunteers, • Collaborate with the Director of Athletics to elevate the game day experience for athletes, families, officials, opposing teams, and fans, • Assist with the planning and execution of other athletic department events, such as pre-season parent/coach meetings, end of season banquets, and Homecoming Communication and Operations • Serve as a liaison between Athletic Director, coaches, students, parents and staff, • Assist with Athletic communications, schedules and facilities management through EventLink, • Collaborate with the marketing department to promote all athletics programs through social media, internal marketing, and other means of celebrating our athletes and their success, • Support equipment management and facility organization, • Manage transportation schedule and communication Additional Duties • Attend athletic events, meetings and school functions, • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Athletic Director, • Support the Student Life department by assisting with related events and programming, • Collaborate with the Admissions department to further middle school relationship management and improve middle school recruitment efforts Mission • Prays with and for students, families and colleagues and their intentions, • Models the example of Jesus, the Master Teacher, in what He taught, how He lived, and how He treated others, • Participates in religious instruction and Catholic formation, including Christian services, offered at the school. Non-Catholic teachers are expected to participate to the fullest extent possible (e.g., non-Catholics would come forward to receive a blessing instead of Holy Communion in the Catholic Mass) Role: Professional Growth and Development • Commits to lifelong learning and demonstrates a passion for ongoing professional growth and development, • Participates in school meetings/inservice, spiritual retreats, days of reflection, and spiritual formation programs as directed by the principal and contributes to school-wide goals Role: Additional Professional Responsibilities • Follows local protocol as published in the Team Member handbook, student/family handbook, and in other related policies, protocols, rules and regulations, • Serves on school committees and in other capacities as directed by the school principal, • Assists as requested with school fundraisers and development efforts., • Prepares for, attends, and participates in Registration, Open House, annual fundraiser, graduation, etc. as directed by the school principal Ministerial Expectations • Display of Gospel values, good judgment, and diplomacy and the safeguarding of confidential information are required, • Has the potential and talent to be an effective Catholic school teacher, • Displays a commitment to the Providence Cristo Rey educational philosophy and values, • Displays a commitment to the mission of the school as defined by the Mission Effectiveness Standards of the Cristo Rey Network Outcomes/Measures of Success over next 12 months • On time reporting of athletic eligibility, defined as quarterly. Dates are firm with the IHSAA., • Maintained and balanced schedule of athletic contests. Ensuring each sport competes in the number of contests required to participate in the sectional contest and is in compliance with all IHSAA rules., • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience, • Coaching, athletic administration, or school-based experience preferred, • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families, • Commitment to the Mission and Values of Providence Cristo Rey, • Safe Parish Child Protection Training (provided by PCR), • Criminal Background Check, • This position is fully in person and does not allow for remote work, • Experience in high school athletics, • Knowledge of athletic compliance and eligibility requirements, ISHAA, • School day responsibilities plus frequent evenings and occasional weekends., • Regular attendance at athletic events required Key Characteristics • Student-centered mindset, • Strong leadership and professionalism, • Highly organized and dependable, • Passion for education-based athletics
