Job Description Automation & Maintenance Specialist Location: Columbus, Ohio Job Type: Full-Time | Hourly Shifts: • 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM Facility Location: Columbus, OH 43228 About the Role Ignite Industrial is seeking an experienced Automation & Maintenance Specialist to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated production equipment in our Columbus facility. This role is ideal for candidates with strong technical skills, hands-on experience with machinery, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment., • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems., • Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs and robotic equipment., • Fabricate and repair tooling, jigs, and fixtures., • Perform preventative maintenance and update standard operating procedures., • Document equipment downtime and maintenance work in QC/Production systems., • Support installation of new machinery, including parts procurement and setup., • Read and follow manuals, schematics, and work orders accurately., • Enter and manage data in the CMMS system., • Make informed decisions quickly under high-pressure situations., • Work independently on assigned tasks and projects., • Adhere to all safety protocols: LOTO, fall protection, electrical, and flammable liquids., • Operate hand tools, power tools, meters, and material-handling equipment., • Report defective operations or materials promptly., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area., • Serve as Emergency Coordinator on third shift when needed., • Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications Education & Experience: • Associate degree (AA) in a technical field preferred, OR, • 2–5 years of relevant maintenance/automation experience, OR, • Strong troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems., • PLC and robot programming experience., • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and procedures., • Strong math skills, including geometry, trigonometry, ratios, and statistics., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems., • Forklift operator license., • Lockout/Tagout knowledge., • First Aid & CPR certification., • Respirator testing., • Welding and cutting equipment experience., • Skilled with power tools, hand tools, and calibration equipment.Company DescriptionIgnite is an industrial Recruiting firm that support the Supply Chain Industry.Ignite is an industrial Recruiting firm that support the Supply Chain Industry.
