    Job Overview Growing Personal Injury Law Firm in Lower Manhattan seeking an Entry-Level Bilingual Front Desk Legal Secretary/Assistant. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of initiative, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Duties will include supporting attorney and primary paralegal with the following: Accurately schedule and track all case-related events, court dates, and litigation deadlines. Updating the calendar regularly. Answer and initiate phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients and other guests. Provide administrative support in a law firm environment, including, scanning, filing and other clerical tasks. Requesting and following up for medical records; Preparing HIPPA authorizations; Drafting correspondence and other legal documents as directed; Providing translation assistance as needed; Qualifications: Minimum 1 Year as a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, Guest Service specialist or similar position preferred. Proficiency in English and Spanish required. High School Diploma or equivalent Strong verbal and written communication skills; Must have ability to prioritize, organize and manage heavy work load; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously with minimal supervision Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience: Admin. Assistant, Receptionist, Guest service or Similar : 1 year (Preferred) Language: Spanish (Required) Ability to Commute: New York, NY 10038 (Required) Work Location: In person
