As the Director – Infrastructure & Operations, you will join our team on a journey to help eliminate barriers for patients, increase their access to medications, and help them receive lifesaving treatments while working in an environment that nurtures you. Key Responsibilities: • Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communication technologies in partnership with the VP of IT and the Enterprise Architect., • · Oversee all enterprise datacenter operations to ensure highest possible up time., • · Working with the VP of IT Operations help create the Valeris security policies and oversee the implementation of desktop and user security., • · Responsible for establishing standard hardware lifecycle methodologies., • · Responsible for desk-top applications support to ensure it aligns with business processes, tactical planning, and strategic vision., • · Define and communicate technology roadmap, milestones, service level agreements related to all infrastructure, data center and telephony technologies., • · In partnership with the VP of IT Operations, develop and manage Valeris' IT budget and ensure it complies with stated goals, guidelines, and corporate objectives., • · Review performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements., • · Benchmark, analyze report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT systems., • · Working with VP of IT Operations and other IT Management create bid requirements for software/hardware upgrades., • · Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all infrastructure requirements based on department needs., • · Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives as it relates to Infrastructure and Operations., • · Direct research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts., • · Oversee provision of end-user services, including software/software support services., • · In coordination with IT Management help lead the implementation IT policies and procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision., • · Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and related Infrastructure and Operations consultant contracts and service agreements., • · Manage IT Infrastructure staff, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions., • · Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT infrastructure activities., • · Any other tasks or projects as assigned by immediate supervisor. Qualifications: • University degree in the technical field and 8+ years related work experience. Master’s degree in either of these fields or Master of Business Administration with technology as a core component preferred., • PMP Certifications a plus., • 5+ years’ experience managing and/or directing an IT infrastructure operation., • Proven experience in strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development., • Advanced understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards., • Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day management., • Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business operations., • Superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives., • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems., • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws., • Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures., • Strong leadership skills., • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills., • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products., • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language., • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail., • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment., • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Physical Demands & Work Environment • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy., • Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred., • This job operates in a professional office environment.
