Job DescriptionDay-in-the-life At our Detroit, MI 48211 facility, you’ll start your shift with a quick walk of the floor—listening to molding presses, feeling for vibration on stamping lines, and checking yesterday’s maintenance logs. A call comes in: a molding press is tripping a breaker. You grab your meter, trace the fault, replace a worn component, and bring the machine back online. By midday, you’re completing scheduled PMs, documenting your work, and collaborating with production on the next changeover. When the unexpected happens, you’re the calm center—troubleshooting efficiently and keeping people and equipment safe. What you’ll do • Service and maintain plastic injection molding equipment and press stamping machinery., • Execute routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on plant equipment and facility systems., • Diagnose mechanical issues, isolate faults, and implement effective fixes., • Perform regular inspections to verify optimal operating conditions., • Record all maintenance activities and parts used with accuracy., • Prioritize work orders with your team to meet production needs., • Respond rapidly to urgent maintenance requests and equipment downtime., • Champion safety practices and adhere to all company policies and regulations., • Support onboarding and on-the-job training for new maintenance team members.What makes you a great fit, • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications welcomed., • Hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance role., • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing systems., • Able to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics., • Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail., • Clear communicator who collaborates well across teams., • Open to flexible scheduling, including some weekends or holidays as needed., • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
