General Purpose Join an energetic culinary team dedicated to delivering a unique and enjoyable dining experience for our residents and guests. ????️???? Key Responsibilities • Review menus and Daily Food Production Records for instructions, • Prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and visually appealing, • Follow physician orders for dietary restrictions, textures, and liquid consistencies, • Adhere to food safety and sanitation procedures, • Follow portion control guidelines, • Ensure food and supplies are available for scheduled meals, • Supervise preparation of serving carts, • Serve meals attractively and on time, • Properly cover, date, label, and store food, • Complete leftover logs accurately, • Clean kitchen areas after meals (prep stations, service areas, pots/pans, walls, floors), • Address resident food complaints as needed, • Supervise culinary staff in the absence of the Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef, • Follow infection control procedures, • Use cleaning agents and hazardous materials per department guidelines, • Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues promptly, • Attend onboarding, annual training, in-services, and team meetings, • Understand and implement emergency procedures (fire, earthquake, etc.), • Perform other duties as assigned, • Management reserves the right to modify duties at any time✅ Skills & Qualifications, • Minimum age: 18, • 2+ years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking, • Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written), • Meet all state/provincial health requirements, • Maintain a valid food handler’s permit and any other required certifications, • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures, • Genuine interest in working with older adults and their families????
