Job DescriptionLicensed Graduate Professional Counselor LGPCAbout the Position Vintage Behavioral Healthcare Center LLC is seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) to join our growing clinical team in Beltsville, Maryland. The LGPC will provide behavioral health services to individuals experiencing a variety of mental health and co-occurring behavioral health concerns. The clinician will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and receive appropriate clinical supervision in accordance with Maryland professional licensing requirements. This position is ideal for an LGPC who wants to strengthen their clinical skills, develop a consistent caseload, gain supervised clinical experience, and grow within a behavioral healthcare organization. Primary Responsibilities The LGPC will be responsible for: • Providing individual, family, and group counseling within the clinician's authorized scope of practice., • Conducting clinical interviews, psychosocial assessments, and other appropriate behavioral health assessments., • Participating in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans., • Establishing measurable treatment goals and monitoring client progress., • Providing evidence-based and person-centered therapeutic interventions based on client needs., • Identifying changes in symptoms, functioning, risk factors, and treatment needs and communicating significant concerns to the appropriate clinical supervisor or treatment team member., • Coordinating care with psychiatric providers, clinical supervisors, counselors, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team., • Participating in case consultation, clinical supervision, treatment planning, and discharge planning., • Maintaining professional communication with clients, families, referral sources, and other authorized members of the client's care team., • Completing all required clinical documentation accurately and within established agency timelines., • Maintaining client records in ICANotes, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required documentation., • Following HIPAA requirements, agency policies and procedures, professional ethical standards, and applicable Maryland regulations., • Participating in required staff meetings, training, quality improvement activities, and professional development., • Maintaining an active Maryland LGPC license and meeting applicable supervision and continuing education requirements. Clinical Supervision Because this position is intended for a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor, the clinician will work under appropriate clinical supervision consistent with Maryland licensing requirements. The LGPC will be expected to participate actively in scheduled supervision, present cases when appropriate, respond to documentation feedback, complete required corrections, and follow established clinical and administrative procedures. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have: • An active and unrestricted Maryland Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) license., • A master's degree from an appropriate counseling or related behavioral health program meeting Maryland licensure requirements., • Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, treatment planning, counseling interventions, and clinical documentation., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to maintain accurate and timely electronic health records., • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary behavioral healthcare team., • Strong professional boundaries, dependability, and commitment to ethical client care., • Ability to maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements., • Ability to successfully complete all required credentialing, background screening, onboarding, and training requirements. Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates with: • Experience providing outpatient behavioral health services., • Experience working with adults, children, adolescents, or families., • Experience working with clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns., • Familiarity with CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, or other evidence-based interventions., • Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation., • Experience with ICANotes or similar behavioral health EHR systems., • Experience working with Medicaid populations. Work Environment This position is based at Vintage Behavioral Healthcare Center LLC in Beltsville, Maryland. Services may include office-based clinical care and other approved service-delivery methods consistent with the clinician's responsibilities, client needs, payer requirements, and agency policies. The clinician must be able to maintain an assigned caseload, attend scheduled appointments, complete required documentation, participate in supervision, and collaborate with the clinical team.
