Through dynamic programming in elementary and middle schools, we use sports as a vehicle to teach leadership, discipline, and resilience. Our competitive training model blends fitness with character development to prepare students for high school athletics and beyond. Position Overview: Head Athletics Coach We are actively seeking a high-energy, sports-savvy Head Athletics Coach to lead PE and Sports programming at one of our partner school sites. This leadership role is ideal for a coach with proven experience, a competitive edge, and the ability to coach at least three distinct sports (e.g., basketball, soccer, volleyball, flag football, track, baseball, etc.). Our goal is to bring on leaders who can develop multi-sport athletes, mentor a team of coaches, and contribute to a consistent culture of excellence across all school-based programs. This role includes a comprehensive paid summer training program to ensure youre fully prepared for the school year ahead. Key Responsibilities: • Coach and lead daily PE and competitive sport-based programs for grades K8, • Manage a small team of assistant and site-level coaches, supporting their development, • Collaborate with school administration to align program goals with campus needs, • Lead by example in behavior management, student engagement, and structured game play, • Implement and maintain UFITs athletic behavior systems, incentive programs, and safety standards, • Ensure the care, tracking, and proper use of all athletic equipment, • Serve as the sites lead in covering classes or sport blocks during staff absences, • Submit daily reports, attendance, and coach evaluations to the UFIT Admin Team Minimum Qualifications: • Associates Degree (AA) or higher Preferred, • Minimum of 12 years experience coaching youth or school-based teams, • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills, • Demonstrated ability to coach at least three distinct sports, • Experience working with diverse student populations and managing group dynamics, • CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to complete prior to start), • Must pass background check and TB screening What We Offer: • $25/hour starting wage, • MondayFriday schedule, • Mentorship from veteran coaches and UFIT program leaders, • Opportunities to grow within a rapidly expanding school athletics organization, • A positive, mission-aligned community committed to youth development through sport, • Must complete full professional development course.
