Position Summary: A Hotel Shuttle Van Driver is responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services to hotel guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This position involves operating a hotel-owned shuttle van or minibus to transport guests to and from the hotel, nearby airports, attractions, and other destinations. Essential Job Functions • Safely and courteously transport hotel guests to and from various destinations, including airports, event venues, restaurants, and other local attractions., • Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage and other personal belongings., • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle van to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any issues or maintenance needs promptly., • Follow all safety and traffic regulations, including seatbelt use, speed limits, and other local driving laws., • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, maintaining a positive and customer-focused attitude., • Provide information about local attractions, services, and points of interest when requested., • Maintain effective communication with the hotel's front desk, concierge, and other relevant departments to coordinate guest transportation efficiently., • Keep the shuttle van clean and well-maintained, both inside and outside., • Ensure the van is stocked with necessary supplies, such as water, maps, and promotional materials., • Maintain a punctual and reliable schedule to ensure that guests reach their destinations on time., • Adapt to changing traffic and weather conditions, rerouting as necessary., • Handle payments or vouchers for transportation services, if required, and issue receipts as needed., • Be prepared to handle emergencies or unforeseen situations, such as vehicle breakdowns or guest medical issues, in a professional and efficient manner, • Ensures safety by following guest check-in and security procedures and reporting suspicious activity to security, manager, or MOD, • Assists all departments in servicing the guests especially during high volume periods Experience in the hospitality industry as a shuttle/van driver, front desk agent, or related positions Experience with driving multiple people in a van-type setting Valid Driver’s License in the state of operation Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent Raines is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer. Job Description Reports To: Front Office Manager, General Manager Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to speak fluent English Stand for long periods of time behind the desk and front office areas Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds. General Responsibilities: PT Front Desk Agent 2 days 3pm to 11pm Provide prompt, friendly, courteous, and professional guest service. Ability to perform check-in / check-out of hotel guests in a timely and professional manner Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when scheduled. Specific Responsibilities: Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services, local area and room location. Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner. Upsell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue. Be proficient on the use of the Property Management System. Completion of all brand trainings for their discipline. Required to log on to Brand Portal, know and learn the brand requirements needed for their position. Have a good understanding of all of hotel operating procedures. Administrative responsibilities such as data entry, reporting etc. Respond appropriately to guest complaints and guest requests and make appropriate service recovery actions to ensure total guest satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned including guest room tours, special guest requests, breakfast set up, cleaning lobby area, setting up meeting room, data entry, document scanning, and preparing reports. Read and document all events, incidents in the communication log. Ensure the proper appearance of the lobby and all public areas, including the breakfast area. Ensure processes are followed to protect the identity, safety and security of the guests and fellow employees. Be proficient on the use of all front office equipment such as credit card machine, copier, and fax. Be willing and able to work any shift. Have complete knowledge of room types and offered rate plans. Fully understand the hotel’s franchise policy on guaranteed reservations and no- shows. Process cancellations and modifications to reservations. Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, managers, and all other associates. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
