Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An immediate opening is available for a Special Education Teacher at a K-8 public school located in Northern Denver suburbs, serving Kindergarten through 3rd grade students in a center-based classroom setting. This contract position is designed to support students with moderate to severe needs within a small caseload environment. Responsibilities include: • Providing specialized instruction tailored to the individual educational needs of up to five students (currently serving three), • Collaborating with two dedicated paraprofessionals to support classroom activities and interventions, • Implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and tracking student progress, • Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, • Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education certification, • Experience working with moderate to severe special education students in a center-based classroom, • Strong collaboration skills with paraprofessionals, families, and school staff, • Ability to effectively manage a small caseload with individualized approaches This opportunity offers a supportive and structured environment, working in collaboration with paraprofessionals and an engaged school community dedicated to student success.
