This position requires organizational and time management skills, as well as a high attention to detail. Compensation: Starting at $60,000 per year, based on experience. Classification: Exempt Reports to: Controller Essential Functions • Process and record accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately., • Responsible for mail distribution in accordance with internal controls to manage the process of properly recording cash receipts, recording revenue and receivables., • Work with the development department to ensure revenues are reconciled with the donor database at any given time., • Manage mortgage portfolio activities including but not limited to reconciling mortgage portfolios to general ledger, processing mortgage payments and processing mortgage payoff requests., • Maintain and update vendor files, 1099s, credit card statements, and other financial documents., • Process functional and benefits expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries., • Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations., • Perform accounts analysis of restricted funds., • Monitor and collect data to assess accuracy and integrity., • Assist with annual budgeting process., • Assist with financial audits., • Passionate about the Habitat for Humanity mission and purpose., • Ability to function effectively with a minimum of daily direction and support., • Ability to solve problems and make decisions independently in a creative and effective manner., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite., • Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds., • Possesses critical thinking skills and utilizes good judgment., • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills, • Highly organized and able to prioritize your workload, while remaining calm and courteous under pressure, • Quick learner and proactive, taking initiative to complete projects and tasks. This position has no supervisory responsibility. Work Environment This is a fully in-office position. The role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds as needed and will occasionally be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, salaried position. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required. Travel Travel, if any, is primarily local during business hours. Mileage is reimbursed.
