Job Description Sr. Project Manager Location: Macomb, MI 48042 Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Job Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of capital equipment projects supporting the design, build, and installation of advanced manufacturing systems used in the aerospace and defense industry. Projects may include mold tooling for composite fabrication, assembly jigs and fixtures, work platforms, automation systems (e.g., auto drill/rivet machines), and full aircraft assembly line solutions. This role owns performance, cost, and schedule throughout the project lifecycle while serving as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Performance, Cost & Schedule Management • Manage project performance, cost, and schedule to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, • Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules using MS Project, • Lead cross-functional teams to execute project requirements efficiently, • Respond to customer requests for schedule improvements or technical changes, • Build and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships, • Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly at multiple organizational levels, • Manage challenging situations with integrity while representing the organization professionally, • Identify, track, and communicate project risks and opportunities, • Partner with internal and external teams to mitigate risks and improve schedule and profitability, • Manage scope changes by identifying, documenting, and negotiating change requests, • Capture cost and schedule impacts in alignment with contract requirements, • Lead negotiations to finalize changes while maximizing project value, • Lead project teams within a matrix organization, • Drive accountability through clear expectations and action plans, • Facilitate effective meetings and promote collaboration and transparency, • Mentor or oversee other project managers or team members as needed, • Perform additional duties or special assignments as assigned by management Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or related), Construction Management, or Business with a concentration in Project Management, • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Senior Level Project or Program Management, • Manufacturing Integration experience, • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex topics clearly, • Ability to read blueprints/CAD models with a basic understanding of GD&T, • Working knowledge of P&L statements and project cash management, • Strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting, • Experience negotiating financial, contractual, and technical matters, • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), • Understanding of contract basics and compliance matrices, • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic project environment Preferred Qualifications: • PMP Certification Export Control Requirement: This position requires compliance with U.S. Export Control regulations.
