Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Contractor Project Coordinator to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. Our ideal candidate will have: • A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, • The ability to manage more than 2 projects at one time and have an ambitious approach to balancing workload in a fast-paced environment, • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, • Proficient in project reporting software, MS Office, and blueprint reading, • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards, • Two-Three (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience as a Project Coordinator on similar type projects., • Valid Driver’s License., • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with the team, clients and external partners., • Critical thinking, judgment, decision-making, follow-up, social awareness, being well organized, timeliness, and stress tolerance., • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Education Minimum: High School degree or equivalent., • Ability to read and interpret documents such as plans and project specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals., • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities within established deadlines., • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence., • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs., • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with widely diverse groups, including individuals at all levels both within and outside the organization., • Ability to prioritize work by making informed judgments and to develop solutions for complex problems., • The primary objective of this position is to plan, prepare, organize and maintain project documentation. As the Project Coordinator, you will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and clients to ensure the highest possible level of customer service., • Plans, organizes, and acts as the company representative pertaining to project documentation., • Anticipates and provides for the company’s need to access information and general coordination with daily project activities., • Coordinates with project managers and field superintendents on project files and records. Collects data and prepares project reports, graphs, tables, and other information., • Analyzes the operating practices including record keeping systems, forms control, and personnel requirements. Creates new systems or updates established procedures., • Assists Project Managers to properly prepare for project closeouts., • Maintains and monitors records. Collects subcontractor O&M manuals; prepares company’s job specific O&M manuals, accepted submittals, testing requirements, all related project material, and collects all compliance documents for closeout. Set up, process, and maintain a log on submittals, requests for information, and potential change orders to verify timely architectural/engineering response., • Participates in job reviews by the contractor and architect, as required., • Reviews and negotiates with vendors regarding product or service pricing within budgetary limitations and scope of authority, including the availability and delivery schedule., • Manage vendor and technician relationships; manage performance, out of scope requests, costs, and scheduling conflicts. Contacts vendors to determine status of an order and identify any discrepancies with quantity and quality., • Orders, monitors, and tracks specific equipment on a daily basis by job site, type, and usage., • Creates and maintains job specific schedules of staffing requirements for field employees in a manner that maximizes efficiency and ensures customer satisfaction., • Orders temporary facilities (storage containers, dumpsters, mobile restrooms, equipment, etc.)., • Coordinates the transmission of submittals; post award and during the active project. May act as a liaison between the company and customers, subcontractors, architects, owners, and general contractors on active projects., • The individual typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties., • The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. Generally, the job requires 70% sitting, 15% walking, and 15% standing., • Frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle, or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds.
