The assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with the high school program in his/her sport, assists in establishing goals, evaluating the program, and determining budgetary needs, enforces all MPS rules, conference rules and WIAA rules for athletes. Maintains a safe environment during practices and contests, assists the head coach in establishing an award system, recruits athletes, promotes his\her sport within the school and community, and is knowledgeable of current sport rules. Position Summary: The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, is seeking a candidate for a Faculty Appointment as a Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Clinical Psychologist. This position is being recruited at both the Associate Professor and the Assistant Professor levels. The Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (TACS) has an immediate opening for a Licensed Psychologist with at least three years of experience supervising the clinical care of trainees and/or other mental health professionals while being licensed. This is a unique position; the TACS Psychology program recently received a grant from the National Alliance for Trauma Recovery Centers to start Milwaukee's first Trauma Recovery Center (MKE TRC). 50% of this position will be in the MKE TRC supervising master's level clinicians in providing evidence based culturally responsive mental health care for survivors of violence. The MKE TRC psychologist will also have a small caseload in the TRC, and work with the TRC Director to establish the workflow of the clinic. The other half of this position will be focused on the work within the posttrauma mental health care program within TACS, where care is provided at Froedtert Hospital, an Adult Level 1 Trauma Center. The psychologists in TACS provide biopsychosocial assessment and treatment services for patients with traumatic injuries who are admitted to the trauma service or to the acute care surgery service.Services are provided both inpatient and within and outpatient trauma psychology clinic. Furthermore, the TACS psychology team is a part of an innovative multidisciplinary team that provides post-discharge care to firearm injured patients. This faculty member will join a dynamic division who will be engaged in training, research, and clinical innovation. There is a strong trauma psychology research program within the division and there will be multiple opportunities for the applicant to collaborate on research as a part of the Milwaukee Trauma Outcomes Project. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at the Children's Wisconsin hospital campus. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care. * This position will provide child psychology services with a diagnostic focus on children with attention concerns, learning issues, autism, anxiety, language disorders, intellectual disabilities, etc., including interface and consultation with school personnel as needed. * In this role, candidates will specialize in conducting thorough evaluations to assess developmental, academic, cognitive, social, behavioral, and emotional concerns in children and adolescents.
