Job DescriptionHiring Mechanics – Truck Equipment & Upfitting Join a skilled and supportive team where your mechanical expertise directly shapes the performance and reliability of customized work trucks. We’re seeking a hands‑on Mechanic to perform truck upfitting, equipment installation, diagnostics, and fabrication work in a well‑equipped shop environment. In this role, you’ll rebuild and modify trucks to meet customer specifications, install specialized equipment, and ensure every unit leaves the shop operating safely and efficiently. Job Responsibilities: • Rebuild and restructure trucks from factory condition based on client requirements, • Install and service equipment including plows, cranes, reach lifts/buckets, dump bodies, lighting, and truck extensions, • Perform plumbing tasks involving transmission and fluid lines, circuits, and crane systems, • Conduct diagnostic testing and complete mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs, • Inspect, install, and service auto parts and heavy‑duty components, • Perform welding and fabrication work, including MIG welding, • Work with 12V electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and lighting, • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and work instructions, • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaSkills & Qualifications:, • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aptitude, • Experience with diagnostics and troubleshooting, • Ability to perform automotive repairs and general service work, • Proficiency in welding and fabrication (MIG preferred), • Experience working with 12V wiring, lighting, and electrical harnesses, • 1+ year of experience with heavy equipment, truck upfitting, or equipment installation (preferred), • Experience with pneumatics and blueprint reading is a plus, • Ability to perform detailed inspections and follow technical documentationWhy Work Here:, • Supportive, team‑oriented culture with owners who invest in their employees, • Strong focus on work/life balance, • Opportunities for skill development and long‑term growth, • Low‑turnover environment where employees build lasting careersWork Environment & Schedule:, • Work alongside a team of 12 in a fully equipped shop, • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:40 PM, • Overtime: Available on Fridays and occasional voluntary Saturdays This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
