Job Description LHH is working with a local manufacturing and distribution company to add a Cost Accountant to their corporate office. This position will work with product costing and special projects. This role assists and supports the Director of Accounting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Manage cost accounting by assisting with product costing at all plants and ensuring accurate cost roll-ups based on the valuation of input materials * Assist with financial forecasting, pricing, and special projects as needed * Support cost savings projects at the plants and corporate office to comply with goals, provide reporting updates, and review for accuracy. Participate in monthly special project calls and provide year-to-date savings updates based on project and yield/efficiency savings * Assist with cost analysis and allocation, including weekly and monthly cost-to-produce and P&L reports. Issue raw material blends, verify daily shop order accuracy, and evaluate standard labor and overhead rates * Assist with month-end closing duties Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field * 5+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting Salary range depending on experience and certifications, with comprehensive benefits package.
