About the Role As a Senior Interior Designer at HFG Architecture, you will lead the planning and design of interior environments for healthcare facilities, guiding projects from early concept development through construction and project completion. You will collaborate closely with architects, clients, and multidisciplinary teams while taking ownership of design direction, mentoring team members, and ensuring the delivery of thoughtful, high-quality design solutions that enhance patient experience, support staff workflows, and meet healthcare industry standards. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Design Leadership & Creative Vision: • Lead the development of interior design concepts that align with client goals, brand identity, and healthcare design best practices., • Provide creative direction and oversight throughout all project phases, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality design outcome., • Apply advanced design expertise to create environments that support healing, comfort, and operational efficiency., • Lead interior planning efforts, ensuring layouts support patient flow, staff workflows, and spatial efficiency., • Integrate complex healthcare requirements including accessibility, infection control, patient safety, and staff well-being., • Oversee the research, evaluation, and selection of materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures. Ensure all selections meet healthcare-specific requirements such as durability, cleanability, infection control, and sustainability., • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and stay informed on emerging products and industry trends., • Oversee the production of interior design drawings, specifications, and documentation. Ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with project goals and design intent., • Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to integrate interior elements into the full project documentation set., • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on interior design scope and decisions., • Lead presentations of design concepts, material selections, and layouts with confidence and clarity., • Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, healthcare regulations, and industry standards., • Lead the integration of sustainable design strategies, including energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and responsible material selection. This role includes occasional travel for project-related needs, including site visits, client meetings, or industry events. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or a related field., • 7+ years of professional interior design experience.
