For more information, please visit our website: ___ Job Title: People Business Partner, Employee Relations Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 Type: Full-Time, Exempt Location: Denver, Colorado Position Objective The People Business Partner partners with employees and leaders across Schwazze to foster a respectful, accountable, and high-performing workplace where people feel connected to our purpose and supported in their work. Working collaboratively across teams, this position provides guidance on employee relations matters, people management practices, and the consistent application of company policies while reinforcing a culture grounded in our values. As Schwazze continues to grow and evolve as a company, this role helps ensure our culture grows with us. Through regular engagement with teams in the field and meaningful connection with our people, the People Business Partner helps leaders and employees navigate workplace challenges, resolve complex employee matters thoughtfully, and strengthen the relationships that build trust across the organization. Essential Functions Employee Relations, Compliance, and Documentation (50%) • Provide employee relations partnership for assigned locations across South Metro Denver and Southern Colorado, ensuring timely, fair, and well-documented resolution of workplace concerns, corrective actions, and terminations., • Conduct structured workplace investigations involving employee complaints, policy violations, and workplace conduct matters, including interviews, documentation review, and case summaries., • Draft and review corrective action documentation to ensure performance or conduct concerns are communicated clearly, consistently, and in alignment with company policies., • Maintain ER case tracking and documentation standards to support strong case management discipline and visibility into employee relations activity., • Interpret and communicate company policies, labor standards, and regulatory requirements to leaders to ensure consistent application and reduce organizational risk., • Identify emerging employee relations patterns or risk indicators and provide recommendations to strengthen workplace practices and leadership consistency., • Manage ADA accommodation cases by facilitating the interactive process, gathering documentation, and supporting timely and compliant resolutions. Culture, Engagement, and Employee Experience (35%) • Reinforce Schwazzes values through visible partnership with leaders and employees across supported locations., • Partner with leaders to cultivate high-trust, high-performing teams grounded in consistent communication and people-centered leadership practices., • Support employee development and career mapping initiatives that help leaders create transparent growth opportunities for their teams., • Assist with engagement and recognition programs that strengthen morale, connection, and team alignment., • Identify opportunities to improve employee experience and collaborate with leaders on practical solutions that enhance workplace culture., • Support change management initiatives by reinforcing communication, alignment, and adoption of new processes, tools, and organizational initiatives., • Assist with development of presentations and facilitation of leadership meetings, trainings, and People & Culture initiatives., • Analyze people-related trends and indicators to provide insights that support engagement, performance, and leadership effectiveness. Field Partnership & Operational Support (15%) • Maintain regular presence within assigned locations to build relationships, understand team dynamics, and stay connected to operational realities., • Serve as a liaison between field leadership and the People & Culture team to ensure alignment, timely communication, and appropriate escalation of employee matters., • Provide leadership coaching on communication, performance management, documentation practices, and conflict resolution., • Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field; equivalent experience may substitute., • 57 years of progressive HR or People &Culture experience, ideally in multi-unit or field-based environments., • Strong knowledgein employee relations, ADA accommodations, investigations, progressive corrective action, termination processes, and ER documentation., • Demonstrated experience supporting culture-building, employee experience, and leadership capability, • Experience navigating change and supporting integration efforts during M&A., • High proficiencyin HRIS systems, Excel-based case tracking, and technical documentation., • Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong organizational discipline and accuracy in all documentation and case management processes., • Strong communicationskills, including the ability to craft clear, concise, and professional written documentation and deliver guidance with clarity and confidence., • Strong relationship-building skills, professional maturity, and ability to partner with both frontline employees and senior leaders., • Strong confidentiality, judgment, and time management., • Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required. Working Conditions • Hybrid schedule with up to two remote days and three on-site or in-field days., • Limited travel to New Mexico may be requiredbased on business needsor as needed for support., • Reliable transportation is requiredfor travel between locations.
