Apply now for this travel nursing job in Washington, DC.\n \n\nICU RN Job Details\n\n • Location: Washington, DC 20007 – Georgetown area, close to waterfront parks and dining\n, • Healthcare Setting: S44 Transplant ICU (24 beds, adult and geriatric population)\n, • Assignment Type: Travel contract\n, • Start Date: October 20, 2025\n, • End Date: January 19, 2026\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n, • Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), weekends included\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1650-$1770\n, • Float Requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active DC RN license (pending accepted for later start dates; must be in hand prior to start)\n, • BLS and ACLS certifications required\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience, including:\n \n, • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias\n, • Multi-system organ failure\n, • IV insulin protocols\n, • GI surgery and chronic/acute renal failure\n, • CVA/acute stroke management\n, • External ventricular drains (EVD), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring\n, • Post-neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury\n, • Respiratory/thoracic care, infection prevention, isolation precautions\n, • Phlebotomy, surgical wounds with drains/wound vac\n \n, • Charge nurse experience preferred\n, • Experience with Cerner EMR charting system preferred\n, • Two supervisor references required\n, • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n\n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the transplant ICU\n, • Monitor and manage complex patient conditions, including post-transplant, multi-organ failure, and overflow from neurosurgery and MICU\n, • Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, manage ventilators, and perform advanced procedures (EVD, ICP monitoring, wound vac care)\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and social services\n, • Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed\n, • Maintain strict infection prevention and isolation protocols\n Planet Healthcare Job ID #411835.
