The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for tasks related to finance, communication, debt collection, and invoicing to ensure accurate and timely payments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create and send accurate invoices to customers based on signed contracts including detailed itemization of products, quantities, and pricing in compliance with state, country or city taxation, using but not limited to standardized AIA billing. Record incoming payments from customers across various channels like checks, ACH transfers, and credit cards, and applying them to the correct accounts. Monitor and follow up with customers regarding outstanding invoices, payment due dates, and resolving any billing inquiries or disputes. Conduct thorough reviews of all customer accounts to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and ensure accurate balances. Generate reports on accounts receivable aging, sales trends, and other key metrics to monitor financial performance and identify potential issues. Facilitate and support month-end and year-end closing; including preparation, review and approval of general ledge entries and balance sheet. Update customer information, including contact details and shipping addresses, within the accounting system. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and billing regulations. Perform special projects and other functions as assigned by management. Qualifications 5 years' experience in the construction industry.
