Position Summary The Healthcare Systems of America (HSA), Florida Physician Group, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Cardiologist to join our cardiovascular team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, including performing invasive and interventional procedures within the hospital and delivering outpatient services in the ambulatory clinic. This role combines advanced procedural expertise with patient-centered medical management to ensure high-quality, evidence-based cardiovascular care at a designated HSA Florida hospital in Miami-Dade or Broward County. Highlights of Key Responsibilities • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including, but not limited to, cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, and related interventions, utilizing minimally invasive techniques, as necessary to reduce recovery time and improve patient safety., • Manage and assess patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings., • Participate in the hospital's cardiac catheterization laboratory rotation schedule and provide on-call coverage for cardiac emergencies., • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans; participate in case reviews, care planning meetings, and other collaborative decision-making., • Conduct outpatient consultations, follow-up visits, and non-invasive testing (e.g., ECG interpretation, echocardiography oversight, stress testing)., • Conduct patient education and provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, prevention and long-term recovery techniques, including explanation of diagnoses, treatment options and precure details delivered in a clear and compassionate manner., • Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of medical records in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards., • Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and continuing medical education (CME) activities., • Support or engage in clinical research, protocol development, and teaching initiatives, if applicable., • Comply with hospital bylaws, departmental policies, and professional practice regulations., • Provides on call coverage per terms of employment agreement., • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution., • Board certification preferred., • Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine., • Additional fellowship training and board certification/eligibility in Interventional Cardiology required., • Active and valid medical license in the State of Florida., • Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association, CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross, each certification within 120 days of hire., • Florida DEA registration upon hire., • Minimum of 5 years of interventional cardiology practice, including a strong portfolio of successful interventional procedures., • Proven in clinical, diagnostic, and procedural competence in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions., • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications., • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, CME allowance, and paid time off., • Malpractice coverage provided by the employer., • Monday through Friday weekday schedule and an on-call schedule with desirable work-life balance., • Practice variety consists of outpatient practice and inpatient care., • Primary location in Broward County with outreach practice locations in Miami-Dade County.
