This position will provide technical expertise and assistance in the design and curation of processes and procedures related to quality assurance of energy efficiency related work. It will diagnose and provide recommended solutions to situations as they arise or will arise related to site-based weatherization and energy saving work. The successful candidate may also be responsible for some day-to-day coordination of quality work amongst other field staff, subcontractors, and contractors while improving overall productivity and quality; as well as performing direct inspections. Job Description As an Advanced Production Technician, you will operate the conveying and drying equipment necessary to ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials to the Injection machines. Job Title: Senior Technician, Metrology Reports To: Supervisor, Metrology Lab Position Location: Vernon Hills, IL FLSA Status (Exempt/Non-Exempt): Non-exempt Position Summary: Performs calibrations of instruments that measure the characteristics of objects, substances, or phenomena, such as pressure, temperature, time, force, torque, speed, flow, electric current, voltage, resistance, and derived units of physical, mechanical, or chemical measures. Identify and utilize appropriate measurement procedures. Perform corrective and preventative actions to address identified measurement problems and leverage continuous improvement techniques to enhance technical and operational performance. Adapts equipment, standards, and procedures to accomplish unique measurements. Maintain calibration standards and perform laboratory housekeeping. Mentor associates and technicians on metrology techniques. Quantify and minimize sources of uncertainty within measurements.
