Job Description – Passive Fire Protection Technical Manager Location: London & surrounding areas Salary: Up to £63,000 per annum (plus benefits) About the Role On behalf of a national, industry leading client, V7 is seeking an experienced Passive Fire Protection Technical Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of passive fire protection services across multiple projects in London and the surrounding boroughs. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, managing technical standards, and supporting project teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Provide technical leadership and expert advice on all aspects of passive fire protection (fire stopping, fire doors, compartmentation, structural protection)., • Manage and support site teams, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure work is delivered in line with legislation, industry standards, and company policies., • Oversee quality control inspections, audits, and reporting to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations (BS, EN, and UK Building Regulations)., • Develop and maintain method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation for project delivery., • Act as the main technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders., • Manage contracts from pre-construction through to handover, including material specifications and approvals., • Support training and development of site teams to ensure a consistent understanding of fire safety standards., • Monitor and report on project progress, budgets, and technical issues to senior management. Skills & Experience Required • Strong technical background in passive fire protection within construction, housing, or facilities management., • Proven experience in a management or senior supervisory role within the fire protection sector., • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including Building Regulations, Fire Safety Act, and British Standards., • Relevant qualifications (e.g., IFC, FIRAS, BM TRADA, or similar third-party accreditation)., • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills., • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across different sites., • Full UK driving licence (travel across London & surrounding areas required).
