We are recruiting a Client Onboarding Officer for our Belfast team. This is a critical operational role within the firm’s Risk function. You will be responsible for the end-to-end inception process, acting as a primary gatekeeper for the firm. We are looking for a candidate who is already competent in both Conflicts of Interest and AML/CDD. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to analyse complex corporate structures, identify regulatory risks, and apply judgment to maintain an excellent onboarding function. Key Responsibilities Conflicts Clearance • Analyse complex conflict check results generated by the firm’s systems (Intapp), differentiating between administrative "false positives" and genuine legal or commercial conflicts., • Investigate corporate relationships to determine if a conflict exists, utilizing internal databases and external corporate intelligence tools., • Identify potential conflicts and escalate where necessary, liaising directly with stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently., • Maintain clear and auditable records of all conflict clearance activity. Client Due Diligence (CDD) • Experience of detailed Due Diligence on high-risk clients, including unravelling complex ownership structures (Trusts, SPVs, Funds) to identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs)., • Advise on CDD requirements across multiple jurisdictions, tailoring guidance to local regulatory expectations., • Perform risk assessments at client inception and during updates, identifying high-risk clients through screening and analysis., • Investigate and assess adverse media, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and source of wealth/funds, preparing clear and concise reports for senior review., • Collate all research and approvals in a structured and comprehensible manner for internal use. Our customer service teams are responsible for resolving both simple and complex issues for a whole range of customers as well as completing back office administrative tasks. It is anticipated that the Enquiry Centre Advisor will spend 90% of their time carrying out call centre activities and 10% of their time in development activities. These percentages may vary if business or operational priorities change. Key Accountabilities: Answering calls from claimants/appointees and dealing with queries such as appointment bookings, in a professional and effective manner, ensuring appropriate management of call lengths and call quality. Accurate data inputting with attention to detail for completion of back office administrative tasks. Any other duties that may be deemed necessary by the business to ensure successful deliver of the PIP assessment service. Qualifications Good listening skills able to understand customer problems and give clear and concise explanations. The ability to work well within a team and demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs and expectations of the team/business. The ability to take ownership of issues, resolving wherever possible at the initial stage of the enquiry. Polite and professional telephone manner, showing respect and empathy to callers. Genuine enthusiasm for customer service. Good time management. High attention to detail and accurate data inputting. Ability to work a range of shift patterns during contact centre opening hours. Be adaptable to change in a constantly shifting environment. Additional information We have a training programme starting 22nd September 2025 so you will need to be able to commit to this.
