Health & Safety Advisor (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract) \n Location: Hertfordshire Contract: 6-Month FTC Salary: Competitive DOE \n Are you a Health & Safety Advisor with experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food production, FMCG, engineering, laboratory, chemical processing or other regulated operational environments? \n We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional to support a programme of compliance audits, process reviews and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex multi-functional site. \n This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked within regulated production or operational environments and is confident driving compliance, improving systems and promoting a positive safety culture. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Conduct Health & Safety audits across production, manufacturing, warehouse, laboratory and office environments.\n, • Review and update policies, procedures, SOPs, risk assessments and COSHH documentation.\n, • Identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.\n, • Support fire safety, PPE management and workplace safety controls.\n, • Investigate incidents and strengthen reporting and root cause analysis processes.\n, • Deliver Health & Safety training and guidance to managers and employees.\n, • Work closely with stakeholders to drive sustainable compliance improvements.\n, • Provide recommendations and progress updates to senior management.\n\n Skills & Experience \n\n • NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.\n, • Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor, Health & Safety Officer or Compliance professional.\n, • Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation, auditing, risk assessments and COSHH.\n, • Experience within one or more of the following sectors: \n \n • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing\n, • Food Manufacturing & Food Processing\n, • FMCG Production\n, • Chemical Processing\n, • Laboratory & Scientific Environments\n, • Engineering & Industrial Manufacturing\n, • Packaging Operations\n, • Warehousing & Distribution\n, • Other highly regulated production environments\n \n, • Ability to influence stakeholders and deliver practical compliance improvements.\n\n Why Apply? \n\n • Immediate opportunity to make a visible impact.\n, • Broad exposure across manufacturing and operational functions.\n, • High level of autonomy and responsibility.\n, • Opportunity to support a significant compliance improvement programme.\n, • Potential for longer-term opportunities.\n\n If you have Health & Safety experience within pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, FMCG, engineering, laboratory, processing or other regulated environments, apply today to find out more. \n
