You may come from consulting, recruitment, executive search, talent, professional services, advisory, or startup leadership. What matters most is that you are highly connected, commercially driven, and excited by the idea of building something meaningful with real ownership. There is no fixed salary initially. Instead, this role comes with 40% equity in Maestro UK and the opportunity to create substantial long-term value. THE OPPORTUNITY This is a rare opportunity to take a leadership position in a high-potential business at an early stage and shape its trajectory as an owner-operator. As Managing Director & Partner, UK, you will lead the commercial growth of Maestro across London initially and then the wider UK. You will be responsible for building relationships, winning work, growing the talent community, shaping the local go-to-market approach, and creating a scalable business around an already validated platform and model. You won’t be starting from zero. WHAT YOU WILL DO As Managing Director & Partner, you will lead the growth of Maestro UK across both the demand and supply side of the business. Commercial growth • Build and execute the UK growth strategy, • Build relationships with corporates, startups, scale-ups, private equity-backed businesses and advisory firms, • Convert market conversations into client briefs, projects and long-term relationships, • Identify high-value commercial opportunities across fractional, interim and project-based talent Client leadership • Build a strong pipeline of client opportunities, • Position Maestro as a premium, trusted solution for flexible senior talent, • Scope briefs and work closely with clients to understand their business challenges, • Deliver high-quality matching and engagement outcomes Talent community growth • Build the Maestro community across the UK, • Attract exceptional independent talent, consultants and fractional leaders, • Maintain quality through rigorous curation and relationship-led community building, • Foster a strong reputation among Maestros as the platform and community of choice for premium opportunities and support Market building • Help establish Maestro as a category leader in fractional and independent talent along with senior traditional independent consulting and contracting, • Build brand presence through partnerships, introductions, thought leadership and strategic networking, • Translate market insight into commercial action, • Identify local opportunities by sector, client type and capability area Operational leadership • Work with the central Maestro team to use existing systems, processes and infrastructure effectively, • Help refine playbooks, processes and platform experience as the business grows, • Over time, recruit and lead a local team as needed, • Ensure a high-quality experience across client delivery, talent engagement and operational execution WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE In this role, success means: • growing the UK client base, • building high-quality project and placement volume, • building the Maestro community with exceptional local talent, • building repeatable commercial momentum, • strengthening Maestro’s brand and market reputation, • creating a profitable, scalable regional operation This is a role for someone who can balance strategy and execution.
