But will be required to travel regularly to work places across Bedfordshire to meet Apprentices and their Employers. You will also need to travel to London once a week. You will need to be based in Bedfordshire. JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent WORKING HOURS: 40 Hours per Week JOB OVERVIEW The company has a rewarding opportunity for an Early Years Tutor to join its skills team, delivering Early Years apprenticeship standards across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas. This is a predominantly remote role, with regular travel to apprentice workplaces and some face-to-face delivery at a training academy in London. The Early Years Tutor will manage a caseload of apprentices, delivering high-quality teaching, coaching and assessment that supports learner progress, confidence and achievement. As an Early Years Tutor, you will work closely with employers, carry out reviews and workplace assessments, prepare learners for End-Point Assessment, embed English, Maths and professional behaviours, and help shape the next generation of Early Years professionals. This role would suit an experienced Early Years Tutor or Assessor, or a qualified Early Years professional who has supported, mentored or developed others and is ready to move into teaching and assessing. Support is available to help you develop your assessor skills. DUTIES Your duties as the Early Years Tutor include: • Apprenticeship Delivery: Deliver engaging teaching, coaching and assessment for Early Years apprentices, adapting learning to individual needs and workplace settings, • Learner Progress: Manage a caseload of learners, monitor progress, complete reviews and support timely achievement of apprenticeship aims, • Workplace Assessment: Carry out workplace assessments, provide information, advice and guidance, and help learners prepare for End-Point Assessment, • Functional Skills: Embed English, Maths and professional behaviours into learning activities and support learners to develop confidence and competence, • Employer Engagement: Build positive relationships with employers, support learner recruitment and enrolment, and promote apprenticeship programmes across the region, • Records and Compliance: Maintain accurate learner records, update systems, meet deadlines and work in line with funding, quality assurance and awarding body requirements, • Quality and Safeguarding: Attend standardisation activities and promote health and safety, equality, diversity and safeguarding in line with organisational policies CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL • A Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years, • Recent industry experience within an Early Years setting, • Experience of teaching, mentoring, coaching or supporting the development of others, • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage apprentices, employers and colleagues, • Excellent organisational and digital skills, with the ability to manage a caseload, maintain accurate records and meet deadlines, • Ability to travel to apprentice workplaces, Bedfordshire and surrounding areas, and London when required, • A commitment to delivering high-quality learning and supporting apprentices to achieve positive outcomes DESIRABLE • An assessor qualification (A1/CAVA or equivalent) — if not, we’ll fund it and support you to achieve it in your first months, • A teaching qualification, or experience tutoring or mentoring, • Familiarity with e-portfolio systems or apprenticeship funding rules BENEFITS • Fully funded assessor qualification - with paid study time and mentoring built in, • 30 days annual leave + bank holidays, • Extra annual paid leave for your birthday, a mental health day, and up to 5 volunteering days, • Home-based working when not on site with apprentices, • 4% Contributory Pension Scheme, • Life Insurance, • Cycle to Work Scheme, • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) – a wide range of free and confidential services for you and your immediate family (including counselling sessions), • Charity Employee Discount Scheme This role requires an Enhanced DBS Check APPLY TODAY… By submitting your job application to us you are hereby giving us your express consent to submit your details to our Client for this purpose.
