What we’re looking for: Demonstrated experience in a similar role. Skilled in generating design calculations. Be able to work with DFA (Design for Assembly) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing). Experience performing FEA structural analysis using appropriate software (ANSYS). Manufacture of prototype components and take design from concept to validation. Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques. Good knowledge of gas and fluid systems. Knowledge of design standards and industry guidelines such as IMCA. Experience working to marine, defence standards and class society rules (mainly LR and DNV). Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent industry experience. Experience with Product Lifecycle Management system for generating and storage of engineering packages. Nice to have: Product design experience would be advantageous.
