Overview of the Role This is a full-time, client-site role embedded within the Network Engineering team of a global technology firm with over 20,000 employees. The Network Consultant will be responsible for supporting the client’s ongoing network refresh and upgrade programme across EMEA, as well as new network deployments into offices throughout the region. The role is implementation-focused, working within established network design and technology standards defined by the client. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical delivery and project coordination skills, with the ability to plan, document and execute network changes methodically in live production environments. Some travel across EMEA may be required to support cutover activities, and occasional weekend work may be necessary for which time off in lieu (TOIL) will be provided. Responsibilities • Work full-time as part of the client’s Network Engineering team to deliver the EMEA network refresh and deployment programme., • Oversee implementation of new and replacement network devices in line with client technology standards., • Produce and maintain project documentation including cutover runbooks, testing plans, and implementation schedules., • Provide technical oversight and assurance during network cutover events., • Conduct network troubleshooting and validation activities following implementation., • Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, site teams, and project managers to coordinate delivery across multiple regions., • Contribute to the continual improvement of implementation processes and operational standards., • Support logistics, change management, and handover to operations. Skills and Experience • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, and Versa Networks technologies., • Proven experience supporting large-scale network refresh or upgrade programmes., • Familiarity with enterprise network implementation, testing, and migration processes., • Excellent documentation skills (runbooks, test plans, cutover procedures)., • Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset., • Ability to work autonomously within a client environment and manage multiple priorities., • Experience working within global, multi-site enterprise environments., • Knowledge of network monitoring, automation, or configuration management tools.
