Lead the launch of a new residential addiction service and shape something from the ground up. Priory Group is opening Horizon House in Nottingham, and we’re looking for a Residential Addiction Service Manager to play a pivotal role in bringing it to life. This service is part of our therapy-led model of addiction treatment, placing clinical excellence and personalised recovery at the centre of everything we do This is an opportunity to build and lead a brand-new service location, creating a high-performing team and setting the standard for quality, culture and outcomes from day one. As part of our expanding network of residential addiction services, Horizon House will deliver our pioneering Flourish programme in a calm, therapeutic environment designed for recovery. Key Responsibilities As Service Manager, you will lead the day-to-day running of this therapy-led residential service, creating a safe, supportive and high-performing environment for both clients and colleagues. You’ll play a central role in shaping the culture and direction of the service—ensuring high standards of care, strong team engagement, and positive outcomes for the people we support, including those with addiction and, in some cases, neurodiversity. Alongside leading your team, you’ll take ownership of operational performance, ensuring the service is well-run, sustainable and positioned for long-term success, aligned with regulatory requirements and organisational standards set by Priory Group. About Flourish Delivered by qualified therapists in a non-medical setting, Flourish offers a distinct alternative to traditional hospital-based treatment. Designed for individuals who do not require medical detox or ongoing clinical intervention, the programme focuses on structured therapy, meaningful community connection, and practical tools to support lasting recovery. Additional information Further details can be found in the attached job description. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same, and your empathy will help you support people through both the highs and lows of recovery. You’ll bring a combination of clinical understanding, leadership capability, and a passion for delivering high-quality care. We’re particularly interested in candidates who have: • Experience working within residential addiction, mental health, or dual-diagnosis services, • A strong understanding of substance misuse, recovery models, and trauma-informed care, • The ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams, • Experience managing risk, including safeguarding and complex mental health needs, • A good working knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g. CQC) and quality improvement, • Confidence in managing day-to-day service operations, including staffing and performance, • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, families and professionals, • A compassionate, non-judgemental approach aligned with recovery-focused care It would be beneficial (but not essential) if you also have: • Professional registration (e.g. NMC, HCPC, Social Work England), • Experience working in a therapy-led or non-medical treatment setting, • Experience of working with Local Authorities For more information please email : Job Benefits We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role.
