We’re partnering with a leading UK planning and design consultancy known for creating places that connect people, landscape, and architecture. With a strong design ethos and a growing portfolio of projects across the UK, they’re looking for an Associate Director - Landscape Architect to join their established team in Birmingham. This is an opportunity to take a senior, hands on role leading high quality landscape and masterplanning projects, shaping design strategy, and mentoring a talented studio team within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The role • Leading the design and delivery of high profile UK landscape, townscape and environmental projects, • Developing innovative, site-responsive design solutions that balance creativity and technical rigour, • Managing project teams and coordinating input across planning, design and environmental disciplines, • Preparing and presenting concept, planning and technical information to clients and stakeholders, • Supporting business development, bids and client relationship growth, • Playing a key role in mentoring and developing junior staff and contributing to studio culture About you • Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) with 5+ years’ experience in practice, • Proven track record leading projects from concept through delivery, • Strong conceptual design and analytical thinking skills, • Confident working within the UK planning system and across scales, from detailed design to strategic masterplans, • Proficient in Vectorworks/CAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (QGIS or Resoft WindFarm experience a plus), • Excellent visual communication, report writing and presentation skills, • Collaborative mindset, strong financial awareness and experience monitoring fees and project expenditure, • Previous exposure to business development or client management beneficial Why join • Join a growing, award winning, employee owned consultancy with a strong design reputation, • Hybrid working, • Generous benefits including 8% pension, private medical insurance, life assurance, and 28 days’ holiday (rising to 33), • Supportive, people first culture with a focus on sustainability and professional development, • Work on a broad mix of projects that combine creative design with environmental and social value
