The team is collaborative, ambitious, and genuinely cares about building something impactful. They’re London-based with an international footprint and big growth plans over the next 12–18 months. The Role: People & Talent Lead This is a key, first-of-its-kind hire - someone to build and own the entire people function from the ground up. You’ll take full ownership of the employee lifecycle, from hiring through to development and retention, while putting in place the structures, processes, and culture needed to support a high-performing team as the business scales. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys operating both strategically and hands-on, and who thrives in a fast-paced, build-from-scratch environment. What You’ll Be Doing Hiring & Talent • Own end-to-end recruitment across all functions, • Partner with leadership on hiring plans and workforce strategy, • Build scalable, high-quality hiring processes, • Design and deliver an effective onboarding experience, • Build performance frameworks (goals, reviews, progression), • Implement and manage HR systems and processes, • Oversee payroll, benefits, and documentation, • Ensure policies are compliant but practical, • Help shape and embed company culture, • Drive initiatives around performance, accountability, and engagement, • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, • Use data to inform decisions on hiring and org design, • 5+ years in People/Talent/HR, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment, • Strong end-to-end hiring experience, • Experience building performance and development frameworks, • Comfortable setting up people processes from scratch, • Good working knowledge of UK employment law, • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, • Experience scaling teams internationally, • Background in fintech or regulated environments, • Competitive salary + equity, • Hybrid working (3 days in office), • Real ownership and impact at a key growth stage, • Opportunity to shape culture and people strategy, • Regular socials and a genuinely collaborative team
