Key Details The Salesforce Enterprise Architect is a key member of our technology team at PPL PRS and heads up the Architecture function within the department. In addition to being responsible for designing scalable solutions across our Salesforce implementation, we are looking for a proactive individual who can understand both our current setup and our business objectives, in order to quickly identify areas of improvement and provide positive user experience. The role is a hybrid role based in our modern Leicester City centre office. The ideal candidate will be happy liaising with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to translate technical designs for a non-technical audience, clearly explaining rational, benefits and potential impact. The Salesforce Enterprise Architect acts as trusted technical advisor across the business, building relationships with our non-technical colleagues to ensure trust in and support of solutions built as well as providing mentorship to those working alongside you in Technology. The role will report to the Technology Director. What you will be doing This is a varied business facing role, with the following responsibilities: • Create and maintain both high- & low-level design documents., • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to create prototypes/proofs of concept to define or refine requirements., • Line management of members of the Architecture team to support team knowledge growth and development as well as provide opportunities for Technical team to progress within their roles, • Provide guidance and oversight to our Admins, Developers & QAs., • Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience., • Identify unused or underutilised platform features., • Own the design, both solution & technical designs, throughout discovery, design & build., • Support management of integrated applications and third-party suppliers including Financial Force (Now Certinia), Salesforce CPQ, Vonage telephony, Jitterbit, Pardot, Conga, Gearset, Ownbackup., • Support with change control and best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc., • Take on the role of technical lead in transformation projects, designing and delivering solutions as required by the project and set out by the project manager. Gather and record requirements. Effectively communicate with the project team, providing updates on progress, risks and time frames. Manage expectations and handle objections appropriately., • Champion and support the adoption and usage of relevant technologies and tools by the business., • Develop, contribute to, and support our devops solution, identifying issues and improvements., • Actively seek to improve and invest in personal development., • Support the on-time delivery of solution or enhancements. You will have a strong focus on quality solution design & delivery, take on the difficult and challenging aspects of the role head on, be proactive and make things happen collaboratively. • A creative and inquisitive approach to problem solving., • Strong analytical skills with the desire to troubleshoot and put quality first., • A quick learner with a deep technical understanding and the ability to communicate this on all levels., • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, hand in hand with good listening skills., • Stakeholder management experience and the confidence to challenge where required., • The desire to work independently and proactively, as well as being a team player., • Design scalable solutions to provide and maintain a system that meets the customer needs., • Develop the necessary technical and business process skills to support the delivery team and the business., • Proven experience in implementing new and optimising well established Salesforce orgs, demonstrating adaptability and innovation, in-depth understanding of Salesforce data structure to optimise system performance and efficiency., • Working with Agile methodologies and practices, including DevOps/release management experience., • Experience in change management and governance., • Demonstrates continued personal/professional development., • Superior organisation skills including outstanding accuracy and attention to detail., • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks, use initiative and be self-directed to meet deadlines., • Diplomatic, with an ability to operate with a flexible approach in a changing environment., • A ‘can-do’ attitude. You will have Essential • 5+ years of Salesforce Developer/Architect experience., • Salesforce Certified – Technical Architect and Application Architect or Salesforce Certified System Architect., • Strong Salesforce Multi-Cloud product knowledge with at least 2 years operating as a Salesforce Technical Architect., • Hands-on experience using APEX, Visualforce, LWC., • Strong experience with integrations, API or middleware based., • Experience designing Enterprise solutions for complex business processes. Desirable • Experience with Certinia, Salesforce CPQ, Pardot, Experience Cloud, OmniStudio and Ownbackup., • Experience with JIRA, Confluence for Agile Delivery., • Experience of coaching others on system understanding and best practices., • Additional Salesforce Certifications would be advantageous.
