Service Charges & Rent Manager Location: Long Stratton, Norfolk Type: Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: £49,000 per annum We are delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of a 'Service Charges & Rent Manager' on a permanent, full-time basis! Purpose of the role: The post holder would be responsible for the day-to-day management of service charges and rent across 7,000+ homes, ensuring services are accurate, transparent, and compliant with legislation. The role covers setting, billing, reconciling, and collecting all charges, as well as overseeing rent application. The post holder would be working closely with internal teams, residents and contractors ensuring fairness, value for money and customer experience at all times. Main duties and responsibilities: • Lead service charge budgeting, forecasting and financial performance, ensuring accuracy and cost control., • Oversee billing, rent and charge setting, and account management, ensuring compliance and transparency for residents., • Ensure all service charges, rents, and utilities meet legal and regulatory requirements, including audits and reporting., • Manage resident communication, resolving queries and complaints professionally and clearly explaining charges., • Work with contractors and internal teams to ensure services are delivered effectively and provide value for money., • Drive process improvements, systems development, and operational efficiency., • Lead and develop a high-performing, customer focused team, setting targets and improving service delivery. Key Person Specification: • Degree level or equivalent relevant professional qualification or qualified by experience (E)., • Evidence of continued professional development (E), • Have or are working towards a Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 3 or above, or similar (D)., • Demonstrable and extensive working in service charge and rents management or a similar role within housing associations, property management, or public sector housing.
