Role Overview • Reporting to the CEO, as a Business Development Manager – Interim Management, you will be responsible for driving the growth of VMA Group’s interim recruitment solutions., • You will identify and secure interim management opportunities, build senior client relationships, and position VMA Group as a go-to partner for organisations requiring agile, high-impact talent for transformation, change and business-critical projects., • This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional who understands the pace, complexity and consultative nature of interim hiring, and who thrives in a relationship-led environment. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Interim Growth • Identify, target and convert new interim management opportunities across communications, marketing, digital and change functions., • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow VMA Group’s interim revenue stream, focusing on organisations undergoing transformation, restructuring, or rapid growth., • Lead client pitches, proposals and negotiations specifically for interim assignments, including day-rate and project-based engagements., • Proactively map and penetrate target organisations where interim talent can deliver immediate business impact. Client Relationship Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor on interim talent strategy and workforce planning., • Advise clients on when and how to leverage interim professionals to solve business challenges, deliver change programmes, or provide leadership cover., • Partner closely with interim consultants and delivery teams to ensure rapid turnaround and high-quality candidate delivery., • Ensure a seamless client experience across the full interim lifecycle, from brief to placement to completion. Interim Market Expertise & Positioning • Develop deep expertise in the interim management market, including day-rate trends, talent availability, and emerging client needs., • Stay informed on organisational change, transformation trends, and market drivers that increase demand for interim talent., • Represent VMA Group at industry events and networking forums, promoting its interim management capability and thought leadership., • Identify new sectors or niches where interim solutions can be further developed. Internal Collaboration • Work closely with permanent and executive search teams to identify cross-selling opportunities and provide integrated talent solutions., • Share market intelligence to support the development of VMA Group’s interim offering, including proposition, pricing and service innovation., • Contribute to building a strong internal culture around interim recruitment excellence and delivery speed. Skills & Experience Required • Proven experience in business development or client-facing roles within interim recruitment, contract recruitment, or talent solutions., • Strong understanding of interim management dynamics, including project-based hiring, day-rate structures, and rapid deployment models., • Experience within communications, marketing, digital or change functions is highly desirable., • Excellent networking, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders., • Commercially astute, highly proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, target-driven environment., • Consultative approach with the ability to diagnose client needs and position interim solutions effectively.
