Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Exhibitions & Scenic Location: Leicester, UK Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Job Ref: 40681 A growing live events and exhibitions business is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its in-house woodshop team based in Leicestershire. Working across exhibitions, scenic builds, retail environments, and live events, this is a hands-on leadership role overseeing both complex project delivery and a team of Project Managers within a busy fabrication environment. You’ll act as the key client contact from briefing through to install, managing projects end-to-end across design, costing, production, logistics, and onsite delivery. Alongside running your own projects, you’ll support and mentor the wider PM team to ensure builds are delivered smoothly, on time, and to a high standard. This role would suit someone with strong experience delivering scenic or exhibition joinery projects who is confident managing fabrication processes, client relationships, budgets, and onsite teams in a fast-paced environment. What you’ll be doing: • Leading and supporting a team of Scenic Project Managers across multiple live projects, • Managing exhibition, scenic, and bespoke joinery projects from concept through to installation, • Acting as the main client contact throughout the full project lifecycle, • Collaborating with workshop, design, and production teams to ensure successful delivery, • Producing technical drawings, visuals, renders, and fabrication details, • Preparing quotations, costings, and material specifications for bespoke builds, • Planning labour, logistics, suppliers, and onsite operations across UK and European projects, • Managing budgets, timelines, H&S documentation, and installation schedules, • Attending site visits, client meetings, builds, and breakdowns where required, • Supporting continuous improvement across project delivery and workshop operations What they’re looking for: • Strong experience within exhibitions, scenic build, event joinery, or bespoke fabrication, • At least 5 years’ project management experience within a live events or build environment, • Excellent understanding of scenic construction techniques and fabrication materials, • Confident managing clients, suppliers, workshop teams, and external contractors, • Experience producing technical drawings and construction specifications, • Strong budgeting, quoting, and problem-solving skills, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with occasional weekend or evening work, • Full UK driving licence required What’s on offer: • Company bonus scheme, • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, • Pension scheme and sick pay, • Laptop and company mobile setup, • Onsite parking with EV charging, • Social events, perks platform, and team lunches, • Modern workshop and office environment within a growing business About Us?
