This role is an office-based role at our HQ in Darwen. BB3 1AE Key Roles & Responsibilities • Lead and advise on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures., • Conduct and manage legal due diligence exercises, providing clear and actionable reports., • Draft, review, and negotiate key transactional documents such as SPAs, shareholder agreements, and NDAs., • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors (e.g., tax consultants, accountants) to ensure successful deal outcomes., • Provide expert legal advice on company law, corporate structuring, reorganisations, and group restructures., • Advise on corporate governance matters, including board processes, director duties, and shareholder issues., • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practice standards., • Assist in maintaining robust governance frameworks and internal policies. The Ideal Candidate You are a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, having trained at a leading law firm or developed a strong in-house corporate/commercial background. You bring proven expertise in managing M&A transactions with strong organisation and project management skills, together with the ability to prioritise effectively. With strong commercial awareness, you deliver pragmatic, business-focused legal advice, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
