You are energetic, positive, self-motivated, creative and have a can-do attitude, with s trong problem-solving ability and a solution-focused mindset . Ethical and Trustworthy RESPONSIBILITIES Use SolidWorks Electrical to design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts, considering functionality, manufacturability, and project requirements. Design and validate machine safety related control systems in accordance with BS EN 13849, including performance level (PL) determination, safety function development, and documentation of verification and validation activities Utilise simulation and modelling tools (e.g., PLC simulation software) to conduct feasibility studies and validate electrical/control system designs. Perform electrical calculations for current, voltage drop, cable sizing, load balancing, and protection to ensure safe, reliable systems. Work with the team to define client requirements, estimate materials, components, and project timelines. Own and track Project Plan milestones to ensure Electrical Design elements meet deadlines. Source electrical components (motors, drives, sensors, switchgear, PLCs) in line with company standards, project plans, and regulatory requirements. Identify electrical hazards and design systems to ensure operator safety, including generating compliance calculations and adhering to electrical safety standards. Participate in Machine Risk Assessments and ensure projects comply with safety regulations (e.g., BS EN 60204-1, CE, IEC standards). Engage in build and integration activities, including wiring, panel assembly, prototyping, and product testing. Perform installation and commissioning of electrical systems to meet quality and safety standards in workshops and on client sites as needed. Provide input for trials, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and operations & maintenance (O&M) manuals. Ensure all duties comply with CNCR policies, industry best practices, regulations, and relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001). Contribute as part of a multi-disciplined team for Hazard Identification, Risk Assessments, RAMS, and electrical safety compliance.
