The majority of the teams activities are focussed on the Conventional Power and Clean Energy sectors ( primarily CCGT, Biomass and Energy from Waste plants) . The candidates must have experience in all, or most, of the following: Integrity assessment of defective power plant components low and high temperature (e.g. reverse code calculation, fracture mechanics, finite element analysis). Legislative compliance e.g. the UK PSSR. Power plant inspection (e.g. steam and water pressure parts, boiler tube surveys, support surveys), with an understanding of materials selection, damage/degradation mechanisms and life assessment. Power plant mechanical engineering. Power plant operations and maintenance. In addition, you will have excellent organisational, problem solving, communication and report writing skills.
