The role Sheffield High School is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support the smooth running of our financial operations. As a Finance Assistant, you will undertake a range of duties to help support the schools day-to-day financial activities, including: Processing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll transactions Preparing, maintaining and reviewing accurate financial records and reports Ensuring compliance with all established procedures and GDST financial policies Processing invoices, payments and receipts promptly and accurately Sheffield High School is part of a cluster group of four schools within the GDST. The Finance Teams work in close co-operation, and as a Finance Assistant, you will be expected to support these other schools as and when required. About you You will hold an accountancy or financial qualification equivalent to AAT level and bring experience of working with purchase, sales and general ledgers, as well as bank reconciliations. You will be confident using databases and financial systems, capable of managing internal accounts and budgets, and comfortable working as part of a team. Strong accuracy, attention to detail and efficient time management skills are also essential for success in the role.
