About the Role We’re looking for a commercially driven Account Manager who can do two things well: look after a portfolio of established SMB Managed Service customers, and go out and win new ones. These are owner-managed businesses, typically 50–100 seats, across the Midlands to Highlands - companies that want a technology partner who genuinely cares about their business, not a faceless IT supplier. You’ll take ownership of accounts post-incubation and make sure every customer feels well looked after, well-advised, and confident that Aspen is the right long-term partner for their technology. But this role doesn’t stop there. You’re expected to self-source new business - through your network, referrals, events, and customer introductions. You won’t be reliant on the BDR team to fill your pipeline. The best person for this role is someone who naturally builds relationships everywhere they go, sees commercial opportunity in those relationships, and follows through. Key Responsibilities – Own a defined portfolio of SMB Managed Service customers post-incubation and drive retention and growth. – Self-source new non-hotel SMB business through your network, referrals, events, and customer introductions — not solely reliant on BDR-generated pipeline. – Drive cross-sell and upsell activity across Aspen’s full portfolio of services within the existing account base. – Maintain a consistent cadence of customer engagement, account planning, and pipeline development. – Manage supplier engagement, coordinate procurement with Shared Services, and maintain accurate records and forecasts within HubSpot. Skills & Experience Essential – Proven track record in account management or a B2B commercial role, with demonstrable self-sourced new business activity. – Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine customer-first approach. – Commercially astute — able to identify, develop, and close both growth and new logo opportunities. – Self-motivated, network-driven, and not reliant on inbound pipeline to hit targets. – Organised and disciplined with CRM and forecasting. Desirable – Experience in an MSP or technology environment. – Familiarity with Microsoft solutions. – Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM.
