About the Company Flexzo Teach is a recruitment & SCR platform that lets schools book you directly for classroom support, long-term roles and temporary/permanent positions without going through a traditional agency model. We already work with pilot schools in areas like London, and we’re now building local talent pools so we can switch more schools on in each area. To bring more schools on board where you live, we first need great Teaching Assistants pre-registering to our platform and it only takes a copy of your CV... When you sign up, you make it possible for us to go to schools in your area and say: “You don’t need to rely on agencies, you can book these support staff directly through Flexzo Teach, without an agency or the additional charges that come with the current agency recruitment model.” About the Role We’re looking for Teaching Assistants who want: • Flexible work with local schools, • Direct bookings (no agency representative) schools contact you via the platform, • Control over your time and pay, you set your availability and your rates You are not “represented” by an agency. Instead, schools see your profile, your experience and your rates, and decide to book you directly with no middleman interference and full transparency. Responsibilities Depending on the school and setting, your responsibilities may include: • Supporting the class teacher with learning activities and routines, • Working with pupils 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learning, • Providing additional support for pupils with SEND or additional needs, • Helping to prepare resources and keep learning spaces organised, • Supporting behaviour and promoting positive classroom expectations, • Assisting with assessment, feedback and record-keeping as directed, • Following safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times, • Communicating clearly with school staff before, during and after placements Qualifications • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar classroom-based role (school, tutoring or youth work experience considered), • Understanding of the UK school environment and safeguarding expectations, • Right to work in the UK, • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and up-to-date safeguarding awareness Required Skills • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff, • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, • Reliability, professionalism and strong organisational skills, • Confidence supporting learning under the direction of the class teacher, • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Preferred Skills • Experience across different key stages (EYFS, KS1, KS2 and/or secondary), • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, EAL or additional needs, • Work history in a range of school types (e.g. mainstream, academies, SEN settings, PRUs), • Flexibility to work across nearby areas Pay Range and Compensation You set your own day rate/hourly rate within the Flexzo Teach platform, and you will speak with an advisor who can consult with you on the best rate for your experience and qualifications.
